🔄 Change Management
Change Enablement (formerly Change Management in ITIL v3) ensures that changes to IT services are implemented in a controlled way, maximising success while minimising disruption. ITIL 4 emphasises speed and agility — not bureaucracy.
Change Types

Why Change Enablement Matters
- Prevents changes from causing unplanned outages (a leading source of P1 incidents)
- Ensures CMDB is updated after every infrastructure change
- Enables DevOps at scale by defining what needs approval vs. what can be automated
